One of the more regular projects I get working at Monstercat HQ is the illustrations posted on Monstercat's social media pages. Here are some selected works from the weekly weekend recaps and special postings:

Knife Party & Tom Morello - Battle Sirens

Today is the official release date of Knife Party and Tom Morello's collab track "Battle Sirens"! It's also the first official feature of the KP characters on a Knife Party track!!

I also got to work on the video for this track, too:

I've been a fan of Tom Morello since middle school, frequently listening to Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave. Fast forward to 2012, post-graduating from college I drew this character for the first time:

"Battle Sirens" is a track that combines my music tastes from growing up to the present and having the opportunity to work on the art for it is surreal.
So many feels.

I can't even.

Arts That I Haven't Posted On This Blog Yet

I need to stay up to date in posting new art on this blog. Here's some pieces done from May to July 2016:

Collab Series
(A quick series of collaborative tracks from certain artists I like ;) )

Anatomical Bird Study
(I had a hard time understanding how bird skeletons work so this was a stab at trying to comprehend their anatomy.)

(Various pen and marker drawings. Been doing more of these lately, they're usually featured on my Instagram or Twitter.)

Zucat Monsterbat v2.0
(Been playing Pokemon GO and my legs feel AMAZING. I've been sitting on my butt for nearly 4 years drawing all day and now suddenly this app gets me to walk two miles in rainy weather just to catch Pokemon on my way to work.)

Then I went on a splurge of drawing people because people are fun to draw and I don't do it often enough:

(Been watching various anime shows and these two characters have been favourites all throughout completing these shows. Top is Vincent Law from Ergo Proxy; bottom is Vash the Stampede from Trigun.)

(I did a series of Pokemon-Inspired Fashion Design and there were some characters I really liked and wanted to explore more of their backstories. Top two characters (left to right) are troublemakers Ekki and Kory (Ekans and Koffing); bottom two are skater friends Troy and Yana (Tropius and Yanmega).)

(Revamped some MOTH characters ;) )

Exploring the Florida Caverns

Last weekend, I went on a roadtrip with a friend from Austin to Sarasota. Along the way we stopped by the Florida Caverns State Park. If anyone happens to be around the northern part of FL I highly recommend taking a trip over to this park. I took as many pics as I could with my phone:

The Upbeast - Erinys Skin

The Upbeats released a new EP today: De-Evolution Part 1 on VISION!

To celebrate, here's a new look for The Upbeast:

About:
     - Started in March, the idea for this skin originally came from The Upbeats' track "The Furies" released on Drum&BassArena 2016. That said, this character's secondary colour was initially red but was later switched to gold and blue/green to match the colours on the De-Evolution cover art.
     - This skin may not be official due to it completely changing The Upbeast' form (here's the default form). I just really wanted to see what bat wings would look like on him :'D
     - Speaking of the wings, I had to redraw them several times because I was struggling to get the anatomy and perspective correct. The full illustration had to be expanded considerably to fit the entire character, unfortunately losing the small details in the wolf and snakes. Here's a cropped version, close to how this image originally started out:
